A Passion for Educational Technology. . .
The time is now for the educators of Alabama to become passionate about educational technology. We can no longer view technology as an additional requirement to be met to just to fulfill administrative mandates. Technology, both the tools and techniques, must become truly integrated into the daily lives of all teachers, just as it is for today's students.
Today's teachers should be as adept with using the latest technologies are our students are and, more importantly, those same teachers must utilize a wide variety of instructional techniques and designs that fully engage and challenge their students.
Students should be challenged to answer difficult questions, to think critically about real world problems and they must be given access, inside and outside of the classroom, to the tools that they need to discover the answers and solve the problems.
